Tonsillolith |
Calcium, mucus, cholesterol, bile, cystine, uric acid, and even medications can all be compressed within various tissues to form hard stones - which we then have to try to get out to make the pain stop.
Gall bladder attacks (Fancy term: biliary colic) can be caused by gall stones - kidney stones (Fancy term: renal calculi) are known for their excruciating pain as they get passed through the much smaller urethra - and even tonsil stones that irritate the back of the throat and have to be popped out like a zit (Fancy term: tonsilloliths).
